Uncanny X-Men

The Uncanny X-Men was one of Marvel's earliest superhero titles from the early 1960's; but the X-Men themselves have always stood somewhat apart from the rest of the Marvel superhero universe, and have only become popular in the last couple of decades.

X-Men Rogue uncovers Magneto's plans but Logan doesn't believe her when she tells him. Rover, a Sentinel robot that Polaris made from old parts in the Badlands, is introduced. Wolverine battles the Incredible Hulk. Just started watching this new show and well, as my first impression and thoughts, the design of the characters, the childish lines and the colors, this looks a lot like The Batman. X-Men" interprets these traditional storylines in a smart and intelligent fashion, but doesn't quite create engaging new storylines like the DC animated shows have done. Others like Storm, Kitty Pryde and Iceman are relegated to the supporting cast, though they are used consistently.

Where the series falters is the characterization of Cyclops - gone is the strong, tactical leader of the X-Men replaced by a depressed, brooding shell of a 2nd-stringer. Emma Frost, Rogue and Nightcrawler are particularly well-handled, and Xaiver gets a lot of screentime. And really, despite Wolverine's headlining name in the title, the creators do a good job of making sure the spotlight gets passed around a fair bit. Like the past series, there's an authentic faithfulness to the Marvel comic universe - expect to see the Sentinels, Mister Sinister, Genosha, and many familar X-Men trappings. Those who liked the ongoing, serialized nature of the 90s X-Men series will find the same storytelling sensabilities here, with multiple plot threads weaving in and out and even stand-alone episodes tying in to the main arc. Xaiver's whereabouts are quickly revealed within the first few episodes, and it's an interesting twist that sets up the first season's plot threads.

Logan is taking charge this time around, as the series opens with the mysterious disappearance of Professor Xaiver and Jean Grey. With the success of Fox's movie franchise, is anyone really surprised by the creative mandate to move Wolverine to the head of the X-Men. The newest incarnation of the beloved mutant franchise puts everyone's favourite Canuck at the forefront - while longtime fans may bemoan this spotlight, Wolverine and the X-Men is a fantastic series that stands proudly alongside the older 90's classic. What this series brings new to the table is an obvious attempt to be different, while the first season seemed like they were rushing a lot of things; trying to plug to many characters, all the while trying not to let anyone upstage wolverine. The original had the best art style and voice acting.

One year later, the Mutant Response Division is imprisoning mutants. The X-Men disband and Scott begins to suffer from depression. After an unexplained and unexpected explosion of the X-Mansion, Professor Charles Xavier and Jean Grey are missing. At the same time, Magneto uses Mystique to impersonate Senator Kelly and order the launch of the Sentinels on Genosha. The nature of the Phoenix Force dwelling inside her is explained, and a plan is set in motion to remove it from her before it can cause mass destruction. Jean Grey is now in the clutches of a shadowy organization known as The Inner Circle. Javascript Disabled Many features will not be enabled as a result.

He is also a trained expert in computers, explosives, and assassination techniques. Despite Wolverine's chronological age, he is still as healthy and physically fit as a man in his prime. Wolverine, again due to his healing factor, has an enhanced resistance to disease, as well as an extended life span. The more extensive the injury, the longer the healing time will be. This factor gives him a higher resistance to poisons and toxins, and he can recover from almost any injury.

Wolverine's natural healing has been advanced to the point where he can heal extensive injuries in a matter of hours to days. While most normal humans heal injuries over a long period of time, Wolverine's healing factor speeds up that natural process. Lastly, Wolverine possesses an accelerated healing factor based on his physiology. This allows Wolverine to be able to cut through most types of flesh and natural materials. The claws are naturally sharp and tougher than that of normal human bone structure. The skin between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but bleeding is quickly halted by his healing factor. At will Wolverine can release these claws through his skin between the knuckles on each hand. He possesses retractable bone claws that are housed in his forearms, they are part of his skeleton system.

Logan can use these enhanced senses to track anyone, with an impressive degree of success. Wolverine possesses heightened senses, making him capable of seeing things at a maximum distance greater than that of a normal human. Known Superhuman Powers: Wolverine is a mutant with a number of enhancements to his physiology. While possessing the adamantium skeleton, Wolverine's strength was increased to the human maximum, making him capable of lifting 800 lbs.
