Swamp Thing

Swamp Thing, present at the nativity of the Rosewood vampire brood, is confronted by a giant fish-like vampire which attacks and destroys his body. Constantine tells him that some of the vampires he once faced have survived, and that a vampire mother has laid a great quantity of eggs...which are hatching. Over the same period, John Constantine travels cross-country, gathering four allies. Then he manages to tell her he is going to try to expel his consciousness from his body and build another one, just before he disintegrates before her eyes. Morel, Billy Hatcher, Tommy , Other Characters: Diagonal Bob , Wallace and Treasure Monroe Villain: Nukeface Synopsis: Swamp Thing, rapidly being eaten away by Nukefaces radioactive waste, makes telepathic contact with Abby and draws her to the spot where he lays helpless. There he meets a hobo called Nukeface who drinks nuclear waste from a can, obligingly shares it with his newfound friend, and turns Swamp Thing into a mass of blue ruin. She eats it and takes an hallucinogenic trip.
Whenever sour times occur, he states, the Earth feels compelled to create an elemental champion for itself. Moreover, Abel reveals that there were other Swamp Things before Olsen. This issue also contains a three-page pin-up gallery by John Totleben and Steve Bissette. But Swamp Thing sadly wises them up to the fact that the dominant species eats other animals, and crew member Bartle meets a terrible fate. Synopsis: Realizing that he can transport his consciousness beyond the boundaries of his body, Swamp Thing moves his spirit into the realms of Afterlife to search for Abby Cables lost soul. He chases Swamp Thing with a plague of abominations. Lured by Arcane to a mansion, Swamp Thing enters and then emerges with the lifeless body of Abby Cable. All across Louisiana, and spreading into other states, the madness that Arcane has unleashed makes normal people succumb to homicidal impulses. He fought free of that plane, incited Pauls late parents to summon the Monkey King, and thus lured Matt Cable into his fateful accident.
The third Abby only learns later, when she learns that Matts coworkers are actually mass murderers, and Matt and his friends drop their pretenses when Anton Arcane mutters to her, Just say uncle. The second is his new job, with a firm called Blackriver Recorporations. After experiencing a vision of Hollands death, the Swamp Thing learns what Alec Hollands spirit must have to be set to rest: his body must be buried. But the fear-demon is still mentally tethered to the boy, and finds him again. He loses control of the car and smashes headlong into a tree. Jason Blood turns into the Demon and joins in the battle. Jason Blood has been drawn to Louisiana as well, and deduces the presence of the Monkey King with his own board.
Meanwhile, the Swamp Thing battles the Floronic Man. Then he goes to confront Woodrue himself. Slowly perceiving Woodrues presence, Swamp Thing uproots himself to save Abby from destruction. Meanwhile, Jason Woodrue eats one of the tubers from Swamp Things body, seems to become mentally one with all flora, and appears to receive a summons from the plant world to begin a sinister mission.
