CGC Grade 9.2
CGC denotes the grade of 9.2 as corresponding to 'Near Mint minus.' This means it is slightly below the common grade of Near Mint.
9.2-graded books are considered by many collectors to be the minimum grade necessary in order to call a book by the general term
'high grade.' Although this is a matter of speculation, grades below 9.2 are often priced downward due to decreased demand by collectors.
For some time, the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide listed different levels of prices according to condition, with 9.2 the highest
listed. Grades above this were considered 'speculative,' or difficult to predict as far as pricing was concerned.
