CGC Grade 9.0
CGC denotes the grade of 9.0 as being Very Fine - Near Mint; that is, falling between the two popular conditions of Very Fine and Near Mint.Near Mint has always been considered the top, or nearly the top, grade achievable before CGC changed widespread grading techniques.
Very Fine, however, has always been a more difficult grade to discern, since it denotes a condition between the highly-regarded Near Mint and the more flaw-oriented Fine.
